Running Ubuntu on Mac OS X on MSI Wind

SO I did install Mac OS X on the MSI Wind as an academic exercise but I have yet to push it to its limits. One way is to run another OS on it as a guest OS using a virtualization software such as VirtualBox.

I installed Ubuntu 8.10 on VirtualBox and it practically went without a hitch. Upgraded the system and installed GCompris. However, I could not get the sound to work. I also need to make adjustments to the screen resolution to accommodate an even smaller screen than what the device can provide. That being said, however, it is still usable. You'd be surprised that this netbook can handle that much load but I have yet to try running YouTube videos on it, though.

So for my purpose, i.e. running Gcompris for the kids, I think this will do. However, I will have to delay it a bit until I figure out the proper screen resolution and get the audio working. Any tips?
